For anyone wondering about the sudden increase in activity (after months of no art whatsoever) I've decided to take on an overly ambitious self challenge this fall in order to push myself creatively as much as I can. The band Starset means a lot to me, and with the release of their new album, Divisions (if you haven't heard it go check it out. It's awesome), I’m more obsessed than ever. So what is this self challenge? (that just happens to overlap with Inktober...) I’m challenging myself to create a piece of artwork for every song off of the band's main three albums, starting with First Light and ending with Diving Bell (possibly

I finally have my art shop up and running over on Flight Rising! So for anyone who likes my work who has an account there, feel free to check it out! I'm mostly looking to do USD commissions, but FR currency is also an option. http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/art/2105611

WARRIORS

0 min read
So. I just started rereading Warriors. I will probably be found in tears before long at the nostalgia and such... And I may start drawing cats again if my school and work schedule allows it. I guess we'll see.... Also, I plan on bugging more people to read Warriors, so close friends be warned...

Hey, thank you kindly for the favourite :)
You're very welcome!
Thanks for the favorite. Also I saw you were rereading Warriors, haha, the series is sill going, a new one coming out in March. Anyways, thanks alot! :D

When I first saw your real name I read it as mine by mistake, then I realized it was 'Marissa', not my name
You're very welcome!

Actually that journal is from a while ago. I am trying to catch up right now though on the Super Editions! (Just finished Crookedstar's Promise. Now reading Yellowfang's Secret.) Now I just have to catch up by reading Dawn of the Clans so I can read the new books as they come out... I know it's a continuation from Omen of the Stars, but... I guess I just like reading them in the order they come out?

So much to read and reread. So little time. And instead I'm drawing a scene from Crookedstar's Promise that's taking an eternity.
^^ :D

Oh okay, I didn't look at the date. Oh, Crookedstar's Promise is so sad. Yellowfang's Secret is really good. Oh, Dawn of the Clans is really good in my opinion (others argue it's terrible), I thought it was nice focusing on some cats that weren't in Thunderclan for a  while. It's sorta, I won't spoil anything, but it focuses on different cats, you'll find out more when you read Bramblestar's Storm. Yeah, I get it. I've got friends and family who've read it like second or third series first, or they just read the books in whack. I'm just like, "How and why?"

Oh, which one? I have drawn quite a few scenes, traditionally though, so no DA for them. :D Good luck with the scene, I know how flustering it can be when just one tiny thing isn't snapping into place in a drawing, or you just don't like it and think you can do better.
I'm not quite halfway through Yellowfang's Secret, but it does seem really good so far! (Out of the one's I've read Bluestar's Prophecy is still my favorite Super Edition though, and one of my favorite Warriors books in general)

I'll probably finish my rereading project (I left off with Long Shadows because I realized I didn't have my own copy of the next book at the time) before reading Bramblestar's Storm and Dawn of the Clans. I know when Dawn of the Clans first came out I read the preview and was frustrated because I didn't like that they were linked to the mountain cats. But that was a while ago, and I guess I've come to accept it now^^;

I'm working on the scene with the rats before Hailstar dies, and before reinforcements come to help them. So far I've just drawn Crookedjaw *pokes newest deviation* and I'm working on Leopardfur but her pose is causing me problems...
